The property, now overseen by a court-appointed trustee after a federal investigation, sits close to Electric Boat’s planned expansion, potentially tying new housing to the region’s growing submarine-building workforce.    

• Summer electric rates to drop for Eversource, UI customers (theday.com) — Waterford residents could see noticeable relief on electric bills this summer as Eversource and United Illuminating plan to cut supply rates starting July 1, pending regulatory approval. Officials say savings are helped by long‑term contracts with Waterford’s Millstone Nuclear Power Station, though higher summer air‑conditioning use may still push overall bills up for many households.
