WATERFORD, CT —Waterford added 26 new, Connecticut-formed businesses to the state rolls in June, according to the Connecticut Business Registry, maintained by the Secretary of the State's Business Services Division. The month's filings ranged from a shellfish farm on Goshen Road to automotive repair shops, real estate holding companies and personal-care services, with addresses spread from the Boston Post Road corridor to residential streets near the shoreline.
Eolia Oyster Company, which registered June 1 at 36 Goshen Road, was among the more distinctive June filings, organizing as a shellfish farming operation. Five of the month's filings were single-property real estate holding companies sharing an address on Butlertown Road, 10 Franklin St LLC, 11 Home St LLC, 14-16 Home St LLC, 33-35 Summer St LLC and 2 Tinker Ct LLC, each apparently organized to hold one rental property. Other June filings included Gold Coast Automotive, a used car dealer on Shore Road, and two health-practice offices, Salt & Skin Aesthetics and Cedar & Olive Healthcare.
State registration marks when a business files paperwork with the Secretary of the State, not necessarily when it opens to customers, so some of these ventures may not yet be operating at the addresses listed.
