| Updated

WATERFORD, CT — The Waterford Planning and Zoning Commission is scheduled to hold a public hearing July 28 on a proposed zoning map amendment that would change the zoning designation for portions of a 188-acre property at 140 Waterford Parkway South.

The commission will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the Town Hall auditorium. Following approval of the June 23 meeting minutes, commissioners are expected to formally receive and review Application PL-26-13, a request initiated by the Planning and Zoning Commission to amend the zoning map for portions of the property. The application was received July 14.

The proposal would rezone portions of the property from the existing IP-1 General Industrial Park district to two new designations: MF (Industrial–Multi Family) and R-40 (Low Density Residential). The requested changes are being considered under Section 28 of the town's zoning regulations and are shown on plans titled "Zone Map with Proposed District Amendments."

Following the public hearing, commissioners are scheduled to continue discussing the application during the regular meeting as part of the formal application review process. No decision on the proposal is listed on the agenda.

The commission will also consider an administrative request to extend approval for Application PL-21-16 involving the Waterford Multi-Family Residential Development at 969 Hartford Turnpike.
