Tree On Wires Prompts Waterford Road Closures: Police

WATERFORD, CT — Motorists are advised to avoid the area of Bloomingdale Road and Quaker Lane due to a tree down on wires.

The Waterford Police Department posted an advisory on Facebook Tuesday afternoon around 4 p.m.

According to the advisory, power remained on at the time of the notice, but an outage will happen while the trees are being removed.

The notice did not give a time for the removal work or say how long the outage or traffic disruptions are expected to last.

There are three road closures, including:

• Bloomingdale Road at Old Colchester Road
• Quaker Lane at Old Norwich Road
• Bloomingdale Road at Quaker Hill School.
