Arresting, Booking Officers Assaulted by Waterford Woman: Police
A city officer was treated for exposure to biohazardous materials after being attacked by a woman.
NEW LONDON, CT - A New London booking officer was attacked in a detention facility last week, The Day reported.
Police arrested Catrenna Marie Burrell, 52, of Waterford after receiving incorrect reports of a woman being beaten by an older man, according to The Day. The suspect allegedly attempted to assault both the arresting and booking officer.
Burrell also attempted to assault the booking officer, The Day reported. The officer was taken to the hospital because he or she was exposed to a bodily fluid from the suspect.
