Young Playwrights Festival is Accepting Scripts

The O'Neill Center is accepting submissions for May festival

 

will hold its 7th Annual Young Playwrights Festival May 4 to 6 and is currently accepting submissions, The O'Neill announced on its website.

"Following the festival’s great success over the past six years, the O’Neill will again work with local high school and middle school students to develop and stage readings of selected original one-act plays," the press release says. "The Festival concludes with a script-in-hand public reading of the students’ work on Sunday, May 6."

According to the posting, those interested in applying must be in grade six through 12 and the submission must be an original work between 10 and 15 pages. Two copies of the script and completed application are due by Tuesday, Feb. 21. Only applicants who are able to attend festival can be selected.
