Back To School: Waterford 2021-22 School Calendar

WATERFORD,CT — Back-to-school planning has already begun with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in Waterford.

The first day of school for most students in Waterford Sept. 1.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change as the coronavirus pandemic nears its year-and-a-half point. A mix of in-person, virtual and hybrid learning is still possible inWaterford.

Like last year, these policies could change any time before the first day

Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

Waterford Public Schools

First Day: Sept. 1

Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 24-26

Winter Break: Dec. 24-Jan. 1

Spring Break: April 18-22

Last Day: June 15

The officials school calendar is available through the Waterford Public Schools' website.

The CDC has recommended that all students and staff in K-12 schools wear masks this fall due to the highly infectious Delta variant of the coronavirus. Gov. Ned Lamont has not made a ruling on mask wearing for the state's students, but is reportedly likely to follow the federal agency's guidance.
