Bianca Bonomo Dennehy, of Waterford, Died March 22

Bianca Bonomo Dennehy, age 92, of Waterford, died Sunday evening, March 22, 2015, at the New London Rehabilitation and Care Center in Waterford. She was born in Noank on March 15, 1923, the daughter of Alberto and Maria Bacchiocci Bonomo.

She was a graduate of Fitch High School in Groton, class of 1941, and had been employed as a cook at the Little Red School House, Mitchell College and St. Bernard High School. She married Harry Dennehy on September 24, 1944. He survives her.

In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons, Robert Albert Dennehy and his wife Nancy of Colchester, Brian Norman Dennehy and his wife Janet of Nevada City, CA; a brother Raymond Bonomo of Milton, FL; a sister Beatrice Cardin of Westerly, RI. She has two grandchildren, Scott and Ryan Dennehy; three great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jocelyn and Brayden Dennehy.

The funeral will assemble at 9:15 AM on Saturday at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Ave., New London, and proceed to a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 AM in St. Paul Church. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 5-7 PM.
