Blanche "De" Maiorana, 74, of Waterford, Passed Away on March 27

Blanche “De” Maiorana, 74, of Waterford, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2015 at L+ M Hospital in New London. She was born on August 20, 1940, in New London, the daughter of Elmond and Rita (Dupont) Kenyon.

De married Giuseppe Maiorana on January 10, 1970, he survives her.  She adored animals and was an avid reader belonging to a book club. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and loved to spend countless time by the ocean.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her sons, Paul, and his wife Mandy, of New London, Joseph, of New London, and her daughter, Nicole and her husband Chris, of Waterford. She was an adoring grandmother and is also survived by seven grandchildren; one great grandchild and was anticipating the birth of her second great grandchild.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 30, 2015 at 12 p.m. at St. James Episcopal Church, 76 Federal Street, New London. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery in New London. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers donations in De’s name may be made to St. James Episcopal Church.
