We are approaching the end of the third year of Barak Obama’s Presidency. Moderate Democrats have had time to evaluate Obama’s management skills, his ability to handle foreign policy issues, and his ability to work with the co-equal branch of Government called the House and Senate.
We’ve all had the time, to judge the performance of the man and his administration. It is for each of us to look fairly but closely at the results.
Moderate Democrats along with the rest of us have suffered the direct family loss of some 30% of our home equity and savings. Most of us are exhausted by coping with Government that appears to “govern by crisis”. Each crisis is apparently solved by large capital investments by the Government of our money. We all now share a debt of around $65,000.00 each, without the long term liabilities taken into account.

All of us have watched the political and financial antics involved in passing legislation never read, and we’re subjected to the party leadership saying; “we have to pass it to know what’s in it”
Moderates regardless of party are frightened. They are as concerned for the future of their Family, their children, grandchildren, and their country as any Conservative might be. The Democratic Party had better wake up and pay attention. These people will not support people and policies that harm them or their families’ future.

The most public presence of this rising tide of dissatisfaction is the Tea Party movement.
Moderates are Americans, they care about their country. They are learning that the days of voting the “party” are numbered. They see the political affect the Tea Party had in the 2010 elections and the strong voice it has in the House.
They are beginning to realize that it is their obligation to educate themselves about the laws being enacted. They must learn to evaluate those in office on a daily basis. It is their obligation to care for their family unit and to do what they must to educate themselves and become proactive politically.
Politicians are now under scrutiny by millions of housewives, husbands, and grandparents. The days of ignoring their opinions are over. No longer can our elected officials say one thing, and then do another. Do yourself a great favor, get involved.
