Easter Is Coming!
Smith's Acres is opening for the 2013 season in one week! Join us next Friday, March 15th for a little preview of spring.
Despite the snow covered landscape outside your window this wintery March morning, Easter is just around the corner.
Eggs and chocolate and jelly beans and bunnies and FLOWERS.
Nothing heralds in spring the way those sassy daffodils do. Smith's Acres will have a greenhouse choker-block full of flowering plants for Easter gift giving before you know it. We actually re-open for the season one week from today on Friday, March 15th!
One of our springtime specialties are our "Easter Baskets". These custom made, bright and cheerful containers are full of pansies, herbs, and flowering spring bulbs. They are sure to bright the recipient's day!
Hardy pansies are showing their sweet faces. Thankfully, these cold tolerant beauties can take anything Connecticut's crazy spring weather will dish them! The greenhouse is full of the aroma of hyacinths and lilies, such sweet perfume...stop by and enjoy the scent of spring in our greenhouse!
