Family Day at Harkness Park on Sunday

Friends of Harkness, State of CT DEEP, and the Youth Service Bureaus of Montville, Waterford, New London, and Preston invitefamilies to Harkness Park on September 11th from 11am - 4pm for a day filled with fun and music for its Annual Family Day.  Admission to the park is free. In honor of the tenth anniversary of September 11th, event organizers have teamed up with 911day.org to encourage families to remember the day by helping others through volunteer service.  Families can visit the Good Deed Board, on dispaly at the park,  and "adopt a cause you believe in."
