Ireland Calling! July 2012 Slideshow from Waterford, Ireland

July has been a great month here in Ireland with the country looking beautiful and  a real buzz of excitement about all sorts of sporting events, including the Olympics and the culmination of our Gaelic Games Championships.

Yesterday, my beloved Co. Waterford was involved in a major hurling match against Co. Cork and it was heartbreaking to see them lose in a very tight game. However, we hold our heads high as our players gave everything and fought to the very end.

I am delighted to bring you my monthly Ireland Calling! Slideshow and hope you enjoy getting a feel for Ireland in July.

While many of the photographs were taken here in Co. Waterford, there are also a number which I took while visiting Co. Clare - on the west coast of the country. My late father grew up in Co. Clare which held great memories for him but he spent most of his life in Co. Waterford which was like a second home.
