Should some thoughts stay thoughts?

Should public places ban the use of vulgar words to prevent fights? Comment your answer.

As American citizens we have the freedom of speech, but with freedom there are expectations. While nobody can stop you from saying mean things to other people, there are words, phrases and sayings that would not settle well with most.

Since everybody knows that we have freedom of speech, people often use words that would get them into a heap of trouble if said to the wrong person. Have you ever seen a fight before? They tend to start with the use of vulgar words to attack somebody, but then they elevate and a fist fight occurs. What if fights could be avoided by not allowing those words to be said? Should libraries, complexes and other public places ban the use of certain words on the property if it would make the environment safer?
