This is How Bad Can Lyme Disease Be!

Last Friday’s Dr. Phil show provided a very clear reminder of how devastating the consequences of long term Lyme disease (referred to in some quarters as chronic Lyme disease) can be.

The unfortunate people profiled on the show were bitten by a tick but for reasons of misdiagnosis or simply not noticing the bite at the time, were not diagnosed and so did not receive early antibiotic treatment.

They missed years of work, suffered seizures, underwent medical treatments not covered by insurance—these stories are not pretty.
