The Waterford Recreation and Parks Department just finished a Youth Cooking Class on Saturday, October 1st.
The four-week program ended with a Harvest Feast where participants were able to invite some family and friends to the final class. The children ranged in ages from 7 years to 12 years of age.
During their four weeks they made, Homemade Pizza, going to the farmers market for toppings, Spaghetti and Meatballs, hamburgers, taco's (again going to farmers market), breakfast meal of pancakes, french toast, scrambled eggs, toast, home fries, turkey bacon and mini steaks and the Harvest Feast consisted of Stuffed chicken, and stuffed turkey breast with the students making homemade stuffing, baked apple pies, chocolate cream pie, corn medley and homemade bread.

The instructors had just as much fun as the students! Future classes are planned to start in January. Program Booklets for Winter/Spring programs will be mailed out in November.
