Coast Guard: Women Paddle Safely To Shore After Boat Breaks Down
A Sunday night search by the Coast Guard was canceled after three women were seen paddling safely to shore after their boat engine failed.

WATERFORD, CT—A late Sunday night search by the Coast Guard and Waterford emergency crews was canceled after three women were seen "paddling a few feet" from shore to safety after their boat broke down.
A spokesman for Coast Guard Long Island Sector based in New Haven told Patch that just before 9 p.m., its search and rescue teams as well as local crews responded to Shore Road after getting a number of calls about a disabled boat with three women aboard.
It was reported that Steven Frischling of the Cohanzie Fire Company said Goshen, Quaker Hill, and Jordan fire departments combed the Waterford coastline for the women.
