Dog Struck By Train, Injured In Waterford
A dog was hit by a train in Quaker Hill on Tuesday.

WATERFORD, CT — A train struck a dog near Route 32 in Quaker Hill on Tuesday, according to The New London Day. The dog dodged a full-fledged collision with the train but suffered what appeared to be a broken jaw and a concussion.
The pit bull had been reported missing out the day before the accident. The train's conductor had spotted the dog on the tracks at noon Tuesday but was unable to slow down the train before the collision.
