Dominion's Bulkeley Re-Elected Chair of Operation Fuel's Board?

Operation Fuel Elects Two New Officers, Adds Four Directors to Board

Operation Fuel elected four new board members and two new officers during its annual board of directors meeting recently.

The new board members are Arianna Baret Peralta, of Rocky Hill, an engineer for Eversource Energy; Allan Smith, of Rocky Hill, an account executive for the Hartford Courant; Susan T. Wakefield, of North Branford, who is retired from Energizer Personal Care; and Richard Schauster, of Manchester, who is retired from Empire Industries and previously served on Operation Fuel’s board. Schauster also was elected assistant treasurer.

Lynn Vasquez, of Newington, a community relations specialist at Eversource Energy, was elected secretary. Vasquez has been on Operation Fuel’s Board since 2011.

Nancy Bulkeley, of Pawcatuck, senior community affairs representative for Dominion Nuclear Connecticut, was re-elected chairperson of Operation Fuel’s board of directors. In addition, Matt Service, of Suffield, vice president of special products, Environmental Office Solutions, was re-elected vice chair and Reverend Hopeton Scott, of Shelton, The First Baptist Church in Bridgeport, was re-elected treasurer.

Operation Fuel is a private, nonprofit program that provides emergency energy assistance through its statewide network of fuel banks to lower-income working families and individuals, the elderly, and disabled individuals who are in financial crisis and not eligible for energy assistance from government-funded programs.
