Election 2016 Results: Waterford Vote Totals for President, U.S. Senate and Local Races
On Wednesday morning, full election results and numbers were released for all races that residents voted on.

WATERFORD, CT — On Election Night, 48.98 percent of residents preferred Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump, Gary Johnson and Jill Stein.
According to the CT Secretary of State election center updated via 10 a.m. Wednesday, 5,233 residents voted for Clinton and 4,861 voted for Trump. Johnson additionally received 368 votes, while Stein received 189.
In the race for U.S. Senate, Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., amassed 5,902 as a Democratic candidate and 641 as a Working Families Party candidate.

Republican candidate Dan Carter meanwhile received 3,583 votes. The race was rounded out with 123 votes for Richard Lion and 164 votes for Jefferey Russell.
Democrat Joe Courtney crushed Republican candidate Daria Novak in the 2nd Congressional District race, with Courtney earning 6,994 votes on multiple lines. Novak amassed 3,060 votes, while Libertarian Daniel Reale received 115 votes and Green Party candidate Jonathan Pelto received 187.

In the race for 20th Senatorial District, Republican candidate Paul M. Formica declared victory over Democratic candidate Ryan Henowitz. In Waterford, Formica garnered 5,781 votes as a Republican candidate and 472 votes as an Independent candidate, while Henowitz amassed 3,625 votes as a Democratic candidate and 319 votes as a Working Families Party candidate.
In the 38th State House District, Republican candidate Kathleen M. McCarty won out over Democrat Sharon M. Palmer. McCarty garnered 5,601 votes on multiple lines, while Palemr received 4,166 on multiple lines.
Republican Patricia L. Waters received 4,917 votes and Democrat Julie Watson Jones received 4,731 votes for registrar of voters.
