The Eastern Connecticut Symphony Youth Orchestra (ECSYO) and String Ensemble will present its final concert of the year on Sunday, April 3rd, 2:00 PM , at Waterford High School. The ECSYO, directed by Joan Winters, will perform works by Mendelssohn, Rachmaninov, Vivaldi and Mussorgsky. Featured on the program will be the 2010 Victor Norman Concerto Competition winner Denis Nicholson, performing Mendolhssohn's Piano Concerto No. 1.
The concert will open with a performance by the String Ensemble under the direction of Karin Carlson, performing works by Bach, Handel and others.
