Protecting Our Heritage

May is National Historic Preservation Month and to honor it, the Waterford Public Library is hosting a “Protecting our Heritage” event at 7 p.m.

At the event, Waterford Town Historian Bob Nye, Architectural Historian Mary Dunne and Helen Higgins, the executive director of the Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation, will give presentations on the benefits of historic preservation locally and statewide. The program is intended for preservationists, homeowners, contractors, not-for-profit organizations, historical organizations, developers, Realtors and members of town agencies and commissions.

The event is co-sponsored by the Waterford Historic Properties Commission and the Waterford Public Library.
