- “Back in 2010, when Robert Yuckniuk took over as our Waterford East Lyme Animal Control Office, he gave his entire being to helping the animals out by diligently being part of starting an official town fund to get a future new animal shelter built. Robert has gone up and beyond, in also giving of his own time to help out with fundraisers regarding raising money for the new shelter.”
Why do you feel is this person an Everyday Hero?
- “I’ve seen first hand just how deeply his love for animals is. I had an incident with one of my dogs back in 2009, and Robert was an angel to both me and Bub. He truly loves all God’s creatures, whether it walks on the earth or flies in the sky. I honestly can’t think of another human being that deserves this Everyday Hero honor more than Robert Yuckniuk.”
