Fishing Derby

Waterford Recreation and Parks held their Annual Fishing Derby on Saturday at Stenger Farm. There were approximately 50 fishermen/women from the age of 2 years to 85 years. A nice mix of parents and grandparents involved with future fishermen/women. Six minutes into the Derby Logan Gerevitze caught the first fish. However that would not be the end of it for Logan. Logan went on to catch 13 more fish. Second place with the most fish caught was Quinn LeBelle with 10, followed closely by Riley McDonough with 8. Logan also was holding on to the longest and biggest fish however with 4 minutes left Lyman Nuttal came out of no where with the longest fish at 15 inches in legnth, weighing in at 2lbs. The first female to catch a fish was Adel Chadwick. Other fishermen who were lucky to catch fish were: Joseph Brown, Lucas Wenz, Matthew Thompson and isaiah McLoughlin. A fun time was had by all!
