Nationally recognized mixed martial arts fighter Brennan Ward said he would "destroy" the officers attempting to arrest him.

Waterford, CT — Nationally ranked mixed martial arts fighter Brennan Ward, a 28-year old Waterford native, attempted to take down four officers following a domestic incident close to 12 a.m. Monday, as reported by The Day.

Officers responded to Ward and a woman he was with fighting near their Jeep and attempted to arrest Ward after finding blood on the woman’s forehead, The Day reported. Police said Ward then became belligerent and fought off the officers as they attempted to cuff him, with police eventually securing two connecting cuffs attached to his wrists during the struggle.

Police said Ward could not be processed due to his anger and put him in a holding cell, where he shouted expletives and threats at officers by name and urinated all over the door and floor of the cell, according to The Day.
