VITAS is hosting a free volunteer orientation class for new hospice volunteers on Thursday, June 4 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the VITAS Office, 628 Hebron Avenue, Suite 300, Glastonbury, Connecticut, 06033. Hospice volunteers visit patients in their homes, nursing homes or assisted living facilities to offer companionship for patients, run errands and help in other meaningful ways. Pre-registration and an interview are required before attending.
