Congratulations To Another Waterford Champion

Also, Waterford's 15-and-16-year-old team, after winning the state championship, is looking for help with travel costs as they move on to the Eastern Regional Tournament.

Congratulations to Waterford’s 15-16 Softball All-Star team as they secured the title of Connecticut State Champions and will move on to represent Waterford and the State of Connecticut at the Senior League Softball Eastern Regional Tournament in Worcester, Massachusetts. 

The team is composed of players Cora Abbiati, Marisa Boch, Amy Bouchard, Kayla Boyd, Mena Buscetto, Karena Bushey, Brittany Campbell, Megan Elphick, Samira Fahey, Jill Jamon, Mackenzie Merriman, Ally Pezzolesi, Margaret Reagan; and is led by manager Lori Sykora and coaches Marc Duplice and Shane Duplice.  On behalf of Connecticut District 10 Little League, Waterford Junior/Senior League Softball hosted several tournament games at the .

The League is proud and thankful for the support of the adult and youth volunteers who tirelessly devoted their time to plan and run the tournaments.  Collectively, Waterford youth earned hundreds of hours of community service as they served in various capacities as tournament volunteers. 

The team is busy making travel arrangements and raising money to defray the cost of the trip to Worcester.  Individuals and businesses wishing to contribute to the tournament fund may send donations to Waterford Junior/Senior Softball League, P.O. Box 246, Waterford, CT 06385.
