George White Inducted Into American Theater Hall of Fame
Founder of the O'Neill Theater Center accepts honor at New York's Gershwin Theater

George White, founder and long-time head of the , will now have his name engraved in gold letters in the Gershwin Theater upper lobby, reported the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
At his induction into the American Theater Hall of Fame, White thanked the committee, his theatrical mentors and most of all his wife, according to the Post-Gazette.
"Unlike so many awards, tonight is really a family affair," White told the Post-Gazette. "Without her, I'd be a beachcomber somewhere off Waterford."
