Hamden Man Accused of Leading High Speed Chase in Waterford
The incident occurred Friday night around 10:20 p.m .

A Hamden man is facing charges after police say he led them on a high speed chase in Waterford Friday night, The Day reports.
Jerome R. Meyers, 21 engaged police in a pursuit in excess of 120 mph after a trooper attempted to arrest a passenger who was wanted, the Day reports. Meyers was stopped for speeding at the time.
According to the Day, the chase began at Exit 2 and ended at the intersection with I-95 when the Toyota Camry driven by Meyers struck an SUV. Meyers was charged with engaging police in a pursuit, reckless driving, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and interfering with police.

Two of the three passengers in the car are also facing charges. No injuries were reported in the crash.
