Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued for Waterford

Potential thunderstorms are in the forecast for June 9 and beyond.

The National Weather Service is calling for a chance of showers and thunderstorms Tuesday, June 9. A “Hazardous Weather Outlook” and a “Special Weather Statement” were issued for much of the state.

The greatest chance for severe weather is predicted for Hartford and Tolland counties.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 75. Northwest wind 5 to 9 mph becoming south in the afternoon.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 60. Southwest wind 3 to 6 mph.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 80. Southwest wind 5 to 9 mph.

Thursday Night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 78.

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 64.
