Here Are The Top Colleges In Connecticut, According To Latest Forbes Ranking

Forbes just announced its rankings, which favor a return on investment.

Four out of nine schools made the top 100 in Forbes' 2016 college rankings, which put an emphasis on return on investment.

Towards the top of the list was Yale University, which ranked No. 6, behind a top 3 that included Stanford University, Williams College and Princeton University respectively.

Wesleyan University narrowly made the top 10 as well, placing at No. 9. Connecticut College (No. 81) and Trinity College (No. 84) were the only other two schools to crack the top 100.

Here are the Connecticut schools that made the list, which included 660 schools nationwide, with their national ranking in parentheses:

  2. Wesleyan University (9)
  3. Connecticut College (81)
  4. Trinity College CT (84)
  5. United States Coast Guard Academy (113)
  6. University of Connecticut (147)
  7. Fairfield University (165)
  8. Quinnipiac University (323)
  9. University of Hartford (518)

Forbes used data from the Department of Education, along with payscale.com and the America's Leaders List to compile the rankings on the top 660 schools. They rated each school on post-graduate success, student debt, student satisfaction, graduation rate and academic success.
