Local AT&T Veterans Group Donates to CT Dept. of Vets Affairs

The funds being were raised during the inaugural Veterans Day Charity 3-Miler race held on Veterans Day last November.

CONNECTICUT -- Local members of the AT&T Veterans Organization of Connecticut/New England on Friday presented a nearly $3,000 donation to Connecticut Department of Veterans Affairs Commissioner Thomas J. Saadi.

The funds were raised during the inaugural Veterans Day Charity 3-Miler race held on Veterans Day last November.

Launched in 1983, the Veterans Organization of Connecticut/New England is an independent organization of AT&T employees and retirees dedicated to serving the veteran/military community. The group values and appreciates the sacrifice military men and women provide for our country each and every day, allowing us all a better and safer place to live and grow.

Last year’s Veterans Day Charity 3-Miler was the group’s inaugural signature fundraising event that took place on Veterans Day to celebrate our veterans. This year’s race will be held on November 10 at the Connecticut Department of Veterans Affairs campus in Rocky Hill, Connecticut.
