Looking Ahead to School Days

While there are still many weeks of summer left, Crystal Mall is looking ahead to the start of school and the abundance of fun it brings. To celebrate, the mall will host the Kidgits Back to School event on Saturday, August 15 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Old Navy Court.

“There’s a lot to celebrate with the start of a new school year so we are excited to host Kidgits Back to School and give kids a chance to have some summer fun before September,” commented Debra Botelho, director of marketing and business development for Crystal Mall. “We’ve created an event that gives families an opportunity to share experiences together and set the school year on the right track in a fun and meaningful way.”

The Kidgits Back to School event will feature a Moon Bounce and crafts such as necklace making; a create your own picture frame station; candle dipping opportunity with Yankee Candle; and a coloring activity with JCPenney Portrait Studio. Kids Quest of Mohegan Sun will conduct face painting; children in attendance can take in a movie; participate in a bean bag toss game and enjoy snacks and refreshments. And, the first 50 Simon Kidgits Club members in attendance will receive a complimentary gift bag.

The event is free for members of the Simon Kidgits Club, a fun and informative program that focuses on health, wellness, education, safety and entertainment for children ages 3-8. The annual membership fee is $5 which provides access to monthly events and scheduled activities, including the Kidgits Back to School.
