Man Fraudulently Tried To Buy Off-Road Vehicle: Waterford Police
A man is facing charges that he attempted to purchase an off-road vehicle using another person's credit card, police said.
WATERFORD, CT — A man was charged with larceny on allegations that he tried to buy an off-road vehicle with a victim's credit card, according to police.
Police were dispatched to Motorsports Nation at 110 Cross Road in Waterford on Thursday for a larceny complaint.
On March 25, a man had fraudulently used a credit card to purchase a 2023 Can-Am off-road vehicle for $29,298.36, according to police.

The credit card company initially approved the transaction, and the man was allowed to pick up the vehicle the next day. After the initial purchase, the victim was identified in Arizona, who noticed the fraudulent activity on her card and notified the bank of the suspicious activity, police said.
The man returned to the business Thursday to pick up the vehicle. Police responded and took him into custody.

Julio F. Moore, 34, of Norwalk, was charged with first-degree larceny.
