Do you know any police officers?
There is now a special mortgage program that is an incentive to both municipal and state police officers to live in the town where they serve. In our area, the only qualifying town is New London. You do not have to be a first-time homebuyer, and there aren’t any income or sales price limits. This week, you would be able to obtain a 2.625% Fixed, 30-year interest rate (APR 2.725%).
All of the Participating Towns are below:Bloomfield, Branford, Bridgeport, Cheshire, Danbury, East Haven, Enfield, Hamden, Hartford, Manchester, Meriden, Milford, New Britain, New Haven, New London, Norwalk, Putnam, Stamford, Stratford, Waterbury, West Hartford, and Woodbridge.
This program can also tie in our downpayment assistance grant for living and working in the city of New London. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or the necessary documents to help the police officers take advantage of this program. It’s about time we do something good to give back to those members of the community that give so much for us.
So what do you think about this program? Do you think it will attract police officers to want to serve in New London? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
