Mother Wants Guiderail After Son Dies In Waterford Crash: Report
The mother is asking the state DOT to install a guiderail along the portion of Interstate 395 in Waterford where the crash occurred.

WATERFORD, CT — Nearly seven months after her 23-year-old son died in a single-car crash in Waterford, an Uncasville mother is asking the state Department of Transportation to install a guiderail along the portion of Interstate 395 where the crash occurred, the New London Day reported.
According to the Day, Virginia Wilmot said she believes her son, Stephen, might not have died in the crash had there been a guiderail in front of the large rock face his car hit. A DOT official said the agency has not noticed a pattern of serious crashes along the stretch, however a representative has reached out to Wilmot.
