New K9 Officer Patrolling Waterford Streets

Careful! There’s a new police officer on the streets of Waterford.

K9 “Tonka” and his partner/handler Officer Patrick Flanagan started patrolling Friday, after completing a 13-week training period, according to a posting on the department’s Facebook page.

The first assignment was conducting a narcotics search, where nothing was found.

Many comments were left on the department’s Facebook page, including one from Deb Wiseman, who said, “Thank you, Officer Flanagan and Tonka for all you do for us.”
