Obituary: Amy B. Taylor, 98, of Waterford

Amy was an avid reader, bridge player and music lover who had a passion for German Shepherds.

Amy B. Taylor, of Waterford, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2017, at the Lawrence and Memorial Hospital, two days shy of her 99th birthday.

She was born in Hartford on January 27, 1918 to Amy and William Bronkhorst. She was predeceased by her husband Robert in 1982; and sister Carolyn Honer in 2014.

She is survived by children, Patricia Uguccioni of New London, Joanne Lippert (Dale) of Franklin, MA, William Taylor of Plantation, FL, Eunice Taylor of East Lyme, Katherine Cussen (John) of East Hampstead, NH. She leaves nine grandchildren, Michael Uguccioni ( Kim), Donna Gannon (David), Mark Uguccioni (Krystin), Lia Lippert (Mark), Gary Lippert (Holy), Keith Lippert (Heather), Kristen Taylor (Drew), Kerry Ferraro (David), Brian Cussen (Stephanie); 14 great grandchildren; sis nieces and nephews.

Amy was an avid reader, bridge player, music lover, and had a passion for German Shepherds. She volunteered at the New London Food Pantry for 18 years and was active in the Waterford Women's Club.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Wednesday in St. Joseph Church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Rocky Hill, on a later date. There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to either the New London Food Pantry, 106 Truman St., New London, CT 06320; or to the Connecticut Humane Society, 169 Old Colchester Rd., Quaker Hill, CT 06375. Condolences may be left on Amy's memorial page on www.neilanfuneralhome.com.
