Obituary: Doris C. Smith, 89, Of Waterford
Doris was cherished as the matriarch of the family and will be dearly missed.

Doris C. Smith, 89, of Waterford passed away Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Beechwood in New London.
Born March 14, 1929 in New London, she was the daughter of the late John Sr. and Claire Dimmock Campbell. Doris was a life-long resident of Waterford and worked for the former Steinbach clothing store, also in Waterford.

Doris cherished her time with family and was happiest when she was spending her time with them.
She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Tracy H. Smith, her four brothers, John Jr. Campbell, H. Roger Campbell, James Campbell and Robert Campbell; her two daughters, Evelyn Smith and Diane Scott. Doris is survived by her son Steven Smith and his wife Gabriele with whom she resided; her grandchildren Regina Jones, Michael Smith, Melanie Smith-Cervera and her husband Shawn, Rebecca Remsburg and her husband Guy, Kim White and her husband Todd Dewey, Amy White and her fiancé Chad Adams, Paul White and his wife Lauren. In addition, Doris found great joy in spending time with her 13 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Doris is survived by many nieces and nephews. Doris also enjoyed spending time with her neighbor and friend, Phyllis Diedrich.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Byles-MacDougall Funeral Home (99 Huntington Street, New London). Services will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with funeral procession to West Neck Cemetery in Waterford.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of Doris to: Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Charitable Service Trust, 3725 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, KY 41076-1712.
