Louise A. Lavoie, 84, of Waterford passed away Sunday September 17, 2017 in New London.
She was born on December 28, 1932 in Waterford a daughter of the late Emile and Cecilia Lavoie. She was a resident companion at the Bacon-Hinkley Home in New London for 15 years before retiring in 2006.

Over the years, Louise had also worked at Sheffield Tube, as well as the Howard Johnson and Golden Spur restaurants in New London and East Lyme as the hostess/night manager.
Louise had also thoroughly enjoyed her volunteer work for many years at the Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London.

Her survivors include daughter Suzanne and son-in-law Richard Cutler of Old Lyme, daughter Deborah Hansen of Salem, daughter Lisa Thormahlen of Groton, a son Gary and daughter-in-law Mary Sherman of Andover, one sister Claire Jordan of Rhode Island, 7 grandchildren Rachel and Aaron Cutler, Jessica, Jennifer and Matthew Hansen, Amy Thormahlen, , Rebecca Sherman, and one great granddaughter Amber Cutler.
She had also been predeceased by a son Forrest Sherman and a sister Jeanne Reed.
Byles Memorial Home, 99 Huntington St, New London is assisting with the arrangements which are to be private.
