Obituary: Patricia M. Payne, 82, Of Waterford
Mrs. Payne graduated from Saint Joseph School and attended the former Williams Memorial Institute, both in New London.

Patricia M. Payne, 82, of Waterford, died January 1, 2018, at the Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London surrounded by her loving family. She was born in New London on November 30, 1935, the daughter of Francis and Dorcas Getty Fredette. She married George Payne. He survives her.
Mrs. Payne graduated from Saint Joseph School and attended the former Williams Memorial Institute, both in New London. She had retired from Barry’s Cleaners in New London.

In addition to her husband George, she is survived by her three sons and their families, Robert Payne and his wife Deborah of Montville, Keith Payne and his wife Donna of Lebanon, Craig Payne and his wife Beverly of Waterford; six grandchildren and their spouses; Joshua Payne and his wife Sarah, Adrienne Wolmetz and her husband Barry, Brittany McLaughlin, Matthew Payne and his wife Danielle, Erica Manchester and her husband Justin and Courtney Payne. She was blessed with eight great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Tyler, Cameron, Ava, Hailey, Gabriella, Hannah and Lucas. She was predeceased by two brothers, Bruce Fredette and Robert Fredette, and a grandson, Jeremy Payne.
The funeral will assemble at 10:15 a.m. on Monday at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Ave., New London, and proceed to a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church scheduled for 11 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
