Old Norwich Road House Fire Injures 1, Displaces 6 People
The 10 p.m. Wednesday night house fire, reported to have begun in a attic, left one person with a serious burn to their hand.

WATERFORD, CT — A house fire in the Quaker Hill section of town Wednesday night had one person taken to the hospital with burns to their hands.
All Waterford Fire Department units responded with mutual aid from New London and Montville fire departments.
Reports from emergency dispatch and others noted that when firefighters arrived at 68 Old Norwich Road just after 10 p.m., one person was still inside the house. It was reported to be an attic fire. Waterford Ambulance treated, and then transported one person, not a firefighter, with a serious burn to the hand. The Red Cross responded to help four adults and two children displaced by the fire.

The fire was knocked down within 30 minutes by firefighters.
Currently all Waterford FD units along with Waterford Ambulance Service are operating at working structure fire in the Quaker Hill section of town with mutual aid from the city of New London and town of Montville. One burn victim was transported from the scene
