O'Neill Book Signing at Bank Square Books in Mystic May 9

Get your copy of "The O'Neill: Transformation of Modern American Theater" signed by author Jeffrey Sweet from 6-8 pm

Join us in beautiful downtown Mystic at Bank Square Books (53 W Main Street) on Saturday, May 9 from 6-8 PM and get your copy of “The O’Neill: Transformation of Modern American Theater” signed by author Jeffrey Sweet! There will also be a Q&A segment with Mr. Sweet and other folks from the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center.

Jeffrey Sweet is a playwright, librettist, critic, author and O’Neill alum. Published by Yale University Press, The O’Neill details the progression of American Theater through the lens of the O’Neill. It is the story of the O’Neill as a theatrical laboratory, a place that transformed American theater, film, and television with forewords by Michael Douglas and Meryl Streep. Chapters chart through personal anecdotes of each of the O’Neill’s programs at it’s Waterford, CT shoreline campus, including the National Theater of the Deaf, National Theater Institute, National Puppetry Conference, Cabaret, National Music Theater Conference, and of course, the National Playwrights Conference.

This event is free and open to the public! Light refreshments will be served. Please RSVP here.
