Open Registration Announced For Incoming Waterford Kindergartners
Waterford Public Schools have announced open registration for children entering Kindergarten in the upcoming school year.

WATERFORD, CT — The Office of the Superintendent of Waterford Public Schools announced Tuesday open registration for children entering Kindergarten in the upcoming 2018-2019 school year. Parents are requested to pick up registration forms the week of Feb. 5 and return them to the school by March 5.
Documentation required for Kindergarten registration includes the child’s birth certificate, as Connecticut law requires public schools be open to all children who reach the age of five on or before the first of January of any school year, according to a release.
Other necessary documents include a physical examination form, completed and signed by the child's doctor and dated within 12 months of the date of entry into school, and a proof of residency which includes a valid lease or mortgage.

Forms for registration, physical examination and health forms are available at any one of the three elementary schools during the school day (8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday-Friday). To assist in projecting enrollment for the 2018-2019 school year, parents are asked to return registration paperwork to the school by March 5.
Please note that incoming Kindergarten students can continue to register after the March 5 date at all of the elementary schools. For pertinent information regarding Kindergarten registration as well as Elementary Schools by Street, please see the Waterford Public Schools website.
