Peacock 'On The Lam' In Waterford Captured: Report

WATERFORD, CT — A peacock that has eluded police and animal control multiple times this year was captured last week by Waterford Country School leaders with help from school district employees, the New London Day reported. The adventurous bird has been given a new home at the school's wildlife sanctuary.

According to the New London Day, "Paulie" has been popping up around town for several months, with many posting about him in several community Facebook groups. School officials hope to slowly integrate the bird into an enclosure at a local farm that already features two peacocks.
