Mother, Child Hit By Car In Waterford: Report
Police said the road is temporarily closed.

WATERFORD, CT — Police said on Twitter they are "actively investigating a car-versus pedestrian accident" Monday afternoon on Greentree Drive, and the road is temporarily closed. Police ask residents to avoid the area.
According to Fox 61, police said the involved pedestrians were a mother and child, who were sent to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
According to NBC Connecticut, police said the woman was pushing her child in a stroller when the incident occurred. Police also said the driver, who has not been identified, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence.
