Police Hosting Open House In Waterford This Summer
The Waterford Police Department will be hosting an open house this summer featuring guided tours, K-9 demonstrations and more.

WATERFORD, CT - The Waterford Police Department will be hosting an open house for the public this summer. The event will take place Saturday, June 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Officers will be present during the event to answer any questions. Areas will also be established around the department to go over topics such as drugs, DUI, firearms, investigative equipment, youth issues and more. (To sign up for Waterford breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
- 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Guided tours of the department, with photo opportunities in cells and cruisers
- 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Free hot dogs, hamburgers and water in the parking lot.
- 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Seatbelt convincer and rollover simulator in the parking lot.
- 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.: Police K-9 demo.
- 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.: Taser demonstration.
- 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m.: Fighting/handcuffing demonstration.
- 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.: Hiring/training presentation.
