Police Warn Of Flooding, Closed Roads, Downed Trees & Wires

WATERFORD, CT — Police are cautioning residents and motorists about road flooding and hazards as a result of the overnight storm and the high winds that remain today.

On Facebook, Waterford Police advised that road conditions on Routes 213 and 156 are hazardous.

"Good morning - as many of you are aware, the intersection of Routes 156/213 is flooded. We have some signs out, the State will be bringing more, but are understandably busy.

Please avoid the area if you can (take Route One) and drive slowly through if you have to do as not to flood out your car or hydroplane ..."
