Quaker Hill School Named Outstanding Elementary School Of The Year

Quaker Hill Elementary School was recently selected as the Connecticut Association of School's Outstanding Elementary School of the Year.

WATERFORD, CT - Quaker Hill Elementary School was recently selected as the Connecticut Association of School’s Outstanding Elementary School of the Year for 2017-2018. This prestigious award recognizes schools in Connecticut that provide an outstanding educational environment and strive to promote Best Practices.

In their letter to Quaker Hill, CAS stated that Quaker Hill Elementary School demonstrates a wonderful

"The committee was impressed with the inclusive and accepting environment that focuses on meeting the needs of every student, the multiple venues for communication with parents and community, and the multitude of learning opportunities for students," the letter said. "[Quaker Hill’s] dedication to the implementation of Zone of Regulation is a testament to the high level of commitment and belief in the power of all children. The choices given to students in their programs and after school opportunities are commendable and enhanced by the high level of staff support. The tremendous show of support by the parents, administration, staff, and students, as well as their numerous references to the collaboration and caring at Quaker Hill Elementary School, confirms the committee’s recommendation for the CAS Elementary School of the Year."

staff and students at Quaker Hill Elementary School at a date to be determined.
