RI Man Charged With Punching Speedbowl Driver In Face: Report

Police said a Rhode Island man has been charged with punching a Waterford Speedbowl driver in the face, possibly breaking the victim's nose.

WATERFORD, CT — Police said a Rhode Island man has been charged with punching a Waterford Speedbowl driver in the face after a race Wednesday night, the New London Day reported.

According to the Day, the incident occurred after two cars crashed toward the end of the race. Police said the accused, 44-year-old Scott Barrington of Greenwich, R.I., appeared to be a friend or crew member of one of the involved drivers, and the punch may have broken the victim's nose, according to the Day.
